We are Friends of Tom O’Connor. This group of current and former law enforcement professionals is determined to win the fight against leukemia. With Tom O’Connor as our leader, we coordinate and participate in different events throughout the year to raise money for leukemia research. With the help of our local community, individuals, and corporate sponsors, Friends of Tom O’Connor, Inc. has raised over $25,000 to help find a cure for leukemia.
Tom O’Connor President
Tom is our namesake, leader, and inspiration. He has twice survived leukemia’s threat and has dedicated himself to helping others who face this disease. He is a retired Major from the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office, now enjoying retirement with his wife in Powder Springs, GA.
Russell Finley Vice President
Russell Finley is a Sergeant at the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office. Russell has spent many years as a Deputy and Sergeant working for Tom O’Connor.
Vince Smith Secretary
Vince “V” Smith is a Major at the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office. Major Smith worked for many years as a Deputy, Sergeant, and Lieutenant for Tom O’Connor.
Billy Favara Treasurer
Billy Favara is a former employee of the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office, where he worked with Tom O’Connor. Billy currently works in private industry in the field of forensic accounting.
Dustin Howey Marketing Director
Dustin is a former Deputy with the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office who worked for and along side of Tom O’Connor. Dustin now works in a law enforcement capacity for the State of Georgia.
